It seems we often hear sermons around the country preaching about unity, and how Christians should be united in the cause of advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ. This summer, we at Moody Radio have the privilege of seeing those sermons come to life with Chicago Harvest. The effort began as a core group of pastors who have been praying for several years for an opportunity to lock hands together in an effort to reach Chicagoland for Christ.
Those prayers have been answered, and it’s here. These pastors have invited Greg Laurie and the Harvest crusade team from Riverside, Calif. to be God’s spokesperson for the event. Community-wide prayer gatherings have started, and 150 churches have already signed-on. Moody Radio will be actively providing information to encourage listeners to take advantage of this opportunity to share Christ with their family, friends and loved ones.
Prior to the crusade, Moody Radio’s special broadcast called Chicago Harvest – A Story of Unity tells the story of this movement and features some of Chicago’s leading pastors. Hosted by Moody Radio Chicago’s Roy Patterson, this special program will tell the story of how this event emerged and how it’s bringing churches together all over Chicago. Featured pastors on the broadcast will include Wilfredo DeJesus, New Life Covenant Ministries; Charles Jenkins, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church; Mark Jobe, New Life Community Church; Erwin Lutzer, The Moody Church; James MacDonald, Harvest Bible Chapel; and Dan Meyer, Christ Church of Oak Brook among others.
Chicago Harvest – A Story of Unity is more than a local, or even regional event. It’s a story of unity among the body of Christ that can serve as an example for other communities across our nation.
The Moody Radio standard clock format applies to this radio special.
