Dr. Charlie Dyer will help you understand the complex tapestry of people and events that make up Israel and the Middle East from a biblical perspective. Each week you will be presented with an in-depth look at biblical, historical, archeological and prophetic events and their relevance to today. Dr. Charlie Dyer and co-host Denny Nugent will be joined by Bible scholars and other experts to help us explore what God says about this vital part of the world. The Land and The Book, a 54 minute program, airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. CT.

Dr. Charlie Dyer is professor-at-large of Bible at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Ill. Dyer is an Old Testament scholar as well as an authority on Middle Eastern history and religion. As a licensed guide to Israel, he has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East over the last two decades. Dyer has authored and coedited many books and articles on the Middle East and the Old Testament. His articles have been published in Bibliotheca Sacra and Michigan Theological Journal. Dr. Dyer’s books include The Rise of Babylon, What’s Next?, The New Christian Traveler’s Guide to the Holy Land and Strike the Dragon.
Denny Nugent serves as National Program Director for Moody Radio, working alongside Moody Radio’s network team and its owned and operated radio stations across the nation. Denny is also responsible for Moody Radio’s Internet formats and music programming and serves as primary liaison with the many Bible teaching radio ministries that partner with Moody Radio. Denny’s career in radio started in high school in his hometown of Tell City, Ind. He later served in programming management positions for several large and major market commercial stations. He served five years overseeing fundraising and marketing for The City Mission in Cleveland, Ohio prior to joining Moody Radio's Chicago team in 2004.
